The annual congress of the Madrid Association of Veterinaries for Pet Animals (AMVAC, Asociación Madrileña de Veterinarios de Animales de Compañía) will be held on 16-18 March at IFEMA, the Madrid fair venue. As in previous years, the products of Bioberica Veterinary will be present at the exhibitor’s area, more precisely at the booth 9D08 of Iberzoo+PROPET, the international fair for the pet animal professional.
This year’s congress will be dedicated to medicine and surgery related to the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, a field where Bioiberica Veterinary has been involved in researching and developing for more than 20 years. Bioberica’s booth will show our range of joint care products, including Condrovet Taste, Cosequin Taste HA and Cosequin cats, which are commonly used solutions by the experts in musculoskeletal healthcare.
Moreover, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about Bioiberica’s most recent product in the dermatology field: Atopivet, a novel treatment for canine atopic dermatitis. Also in regard to canine healthcare, more precisely for the treatment of leishmaniosis, Bioiberica will present results from their most recent studies on Impromune. This product has been proved to be as efficient as alopurinol, the standard treatment for canine leishmaniosis, without having its secondary effects. More precisely, 41% of dogs treated with alopurinol had calculi after treatment, whereas none of the animals treated with Impromune presented them.
Bioiberica Veterinary will support the congress’ scientific program by sponsoring the lectures of Dr. Ross Palmer, current professor in Orthopedics at Colorado State University, USA.
Professor Palmer is the founder of the complete course on External Skeletal Fixation (now in its 23th year), has written more than 50 scientific publications, and has been a member of the Council of the Veterinary Orthopedics Society (VOS), the World Congress of Veterinary Orthopedics, the North American Veterinary Conference, and the Journal of Veterinary Surgery.
The schedule of lectures being presented on Friday the 17th can be consulted here, and those being presented on Saturday the 18th can be consulted here.
This year's winning product was DermalEase/Atopivet drops and mousse - a topical skin care solution.
