The most important results from studies on Mobilee were presented at the “Nutrition for the Active Lifestyle” symposium in Milan

On the 26 of May the “Nutrition for the Active Lifestyle” symposium was held in Milan (Italy). During this event, which is aimed at the food and nutrition industry, the most important results were presented from studies on Mobilee™, the natural ingredient patented by Bioiberica, which is based on hyaluronic acid, collagen and polysaccharides.

In recent years, we have observed an increase in the prevalence of joint conditions due to the aging of the population and a decrease in the consumption of foods rich in hyaluronic acid. The loss of mobility caused by these joint conditions diminishes the quality of life of many people, particularly in the later stages of their lives.

Hyaluronic acid is a key component of the synovial fluid, whose function is to reduce joint friction and nurture the cartilage. The increase of synovial fluid, with its concomitant decrease in the concentration of hyaluronic acid, is a risk factor for the progression from joint pain to osteoarthritis.
