The alarms go off. There's an emergency situation at our Palafolls plant. The team respond to the call, analyse the scene and start the exercise. Yes, this time it's a drill to put everything that has been learnt during training into practice. It’s Safety Week at Bioiberica. The objective: to create a safe and healthy working environment.

Xavi Juli, part-time plant manager at Bioiberica- We have been faced with an emergency situation whereby a lorry has collided with a soda pipe and run somebody over. Also, an additional casualty has been found inside the lorry.
Xavi Juli, part-time plant manager at Bioiberica- We have tried to cut the area off as best we can and prepare the things for the arrival of the external intervention teams, firemen, etc.
Daniel Vega, occupational risk prevention technician at Bioiberica- Our objective with the drills is to practise the self-protection plan and see the different situations we may be faced with at the plant. The idea is to always try and go a step further, testing different situations and always trying to improve. + Our number one objective is to create a safe and healthy working environment.
Eduard Caimel, head of the Tordera fire brigade- Well, a very positive assessment. In fact, active prevention, as it is in this case, which consists of carrying out drills, understanding the concept of the prevention activity and practising so that all employees are aware of the risks involved and how to respond, is the best way for a company of this kind to carry out a prevention strategy.
