In addition, the Covid-19 pandemic, combined with the growing demand for products and services to improve health, has driven R&D investment in the life sciences sector.
What do we mean by life sciences? Life sciences covers a wide range of medical fields, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical products, biomedical research, with an increasing focus on applied sciences such as cell and gene therapy (CGT) and genomics.
As an R&D-intensive sector, technological advances have accelerated progress and opened up new ways of improving the health of people, animals, and plants.
Why is Bioiberica a Life Science Company?
In Bioiberica’s case, our researchers and project managers at our R&D Center are dedicated to researching and developing new products with the aim of improving the life of everyone, which is the main goal of Life Science Companies. Our daily research and work are focused on the pursuit of global health - also known as One Health - through over 40 R&D projects.
We firmly believe that quality research is improved by working with partners who offer the most advanced technologies, and so at Bioiberica we currently work with over 30 public and private research centers, located in more than 10 countries.
By working closely with our partners, we can better understand the needs of the sector and work side by side to offer the best solution. As an expression of this commitment, in 2019-2021 Bioiberica doubled its investment in R&D with the aim of promoting research projects where health is the ultimate goal.
